CFS is seeking a Fractional Chief Financial Officer to provide strategic financial leadership for a community-focused nonprofit in Canton, Ohio. This on-site role offers flexibility as a fractional engagement and direct collaboration with executive leadership and the Board.

The CFO will guide budgeting, cash flow, reporting, and compliance with nonprofit standards, while helping strengthen financial systems and donor grant management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive financial leadership, including CFO or senior finance roles.
• Strong nonprofit accounting, fund accounting, grant management, and compliance knowledge.
• Experience presenting financial information to Boards of Directors and executive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Prepare and present financial reports to the executive leadership and Board.
• Ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting standards, grant requirements, and regulatory obligations.
• Advise leadership on financial strategy, risk management, and growth initiatives.
• Support annual audits, tax filings, and financial reporting requirements.
• Evaluate and improve financial processes, controls, and reporting systems.

Salary: $50-$75/hour depending on experience
