Overview

Position: Fractional CFO at STAXX. This role equips our clients with financial insights to grow their business and hit goals. You’ll own strategic finance for a portfolio of U.S. clients across online, home services, construction, and healthcare industries, translating clean books and accounting into decisions and providing a fast feedback loop to drive performance.

Base pay range: $85,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr

Location: Remote (MUST BE BASED IN THE UNITED STATES)

Work Hours: Full-Time

Starting compensation rate: Starting compensation range determined by qualifications and experience. Highly qualified applicants could start at the higher end of the posted range.

Position Overview

As a Fractional CFO, your mission is to equip clients with financial insights to grow their business, owning strategic finance for a portfolio of U.S. clients. You will translate clean books into decisions, providing a fast feedback loop into financial performance and a clear path to achieve client goals.

Who You Are

• Strategic operator with strong FP&A chops and a bias for action.
• Elite communicator who translates finance into plain-English decisions and recommendations.

• Comfortable leading exec-level conversations and driving outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Creating and Delivering CFO Reports: Provide clients with quick feedback loops into financial performance.
• Monthly Client Calls: Maintain frequent contact to ensure personalized service and ongoing alignment; proactive communication is crucial.
• Financial KPI Creation, Targeting, & Analysis: Conduct initial KPI setup calls with new clients and tailor metrics to track monthly.
• Forecasting and Budgeting: Help ensure clients stay on track and avoid pitfalls.
• Documenting: Update project management systems with client task status; inform the team via Slack; create SOPs as needed.
• Regular Team Check-Ins: Weekly team meetings and a weekly call with all Fractional CFOs to ensure alignment and smooth operations.
• Daily and Weekly Recaps: Complete end-of-day and end-of-week summaries of work, upcoming tasks, roadblocks, and process improvements.

Requirements

• Accounting, FP&A, or PE experience
• Knowledgeable in QuickBooks Online
• Expert in Excel/Google Sheets
• Strong ability to ask great questions and problem solve
• Understanding of how Chart of Accounts affects reporting
• Strong financial modeling skills
• Ability to create financial models and understand business models
• Ability to unlock profits in business
• Elite client communication skills
• Client facing and capable of conducting calls independently
• Ability to optimize Chart of Accounts
• Provide financial confidence for clients
• Resourceful and adaptable mindset
• High attention to detail
• U.S. based, native-level English speaking and writing skills
