Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required or equivalent.
• 60 college credits in a related field are preferred.
• Completion of federal/state law enforcement training may be required.
• Must read, write and speak clear English and pass an English assessment.
• Minimum age of 21 years.

Responsibilities

• Protect personnel and property professionally.
• Interact courteously with the public and visitors.
• Screen and process visitors efficiently.
• Identify, report, and respond to rule violations.
• Conduct foot patrols and traffic control duties.
• Operate x-ray equipment with high accuracy.
• Respond to alarms and emergency situations.
• Secure entrances/exits during emergencies.
• Maintain keys and lock systems; communicate via radio/phone.

Education

High School Diploma

GED

60 credit hours

Law enforcement education/training

English language ability

21 years of age

2+ years security (armed) or law enforcement experience

2+ years honorable service in US Armed Forces
