Job summary

Ciena Corporation seeks an experienced FPGA Verification Engineer to drive chip-level and block-level verification for FPGA designs. You will develop verification infrastructure, execute plans, and ensure coverage goals align with product quality objectives.

The role emphasizes collaboration with design teams, building testbenches, and maintaining regression suites to support reliable Packet-Optical Platform solutions. This is a remote US position with a strong engineering culture.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2+ years of FPGA/ASIC verification engineering experience.
  • Experience developing testbenches with SystemVerilog and UVM.
  • Experience with directed and constrained-random stimulus generation.
  • Proficiency in interfaces such as PCIe, I2C, and SPI.
  • Familiarity with Ethernet packet structures and interfaces (CAUI, XLAUI, XAUI, XFI).
  • Ability to prioritize work within FPGA design timelines.
  • Utilization of PCIe, I2C, SPI interfaces and Ethernet packet structures (CAUI, XLAUI, XAUI, XFI).
  • Experience with Mentor Graphics and/or Synopsys verification tools.

Responsibilities

  • Establish verification methodology, architecture, and infrastructure including models, generators, monitors, and scoreboards.
  • Collaborate with design to define test priorities and coverage targets.
  • Create verification plans and execute test cases.
  • Create and maintain regression suites and provide verification reports.
  • Participate in chip-level and block-level verification activities for FPGA designs.

Please note that the pay range information provided in this posting pertains specifically to the primary location, which is the top location listed in case multiple locations are available.Non-Sales employees may be eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus, while Sales employees may be eligible for a sales commission.
