We seek an experienced FPGA Design Engineer to design, verify and implement FPGA firmware for real-time signal processing on sonar, navigation and sensing systems. The role requires 5+ years of FPGA firmware experience, strong SystemVerilog/VHDL skills, and tool proficiency across Intel/Altera and AMD/Xilinx platforms.

Our technologies include real-time 3D sonar systems, augmented reality diving systems, inertial navigation systems, GNSS positioning solutions, other high-performance underwater technologies, and rugged military electronics and processing systems used worldwide.
We are seeking an experienced FPGA Design Engineer to join our Salt Lake City based engineering team on a full-time basis.This person would work on defense projects and systems as part of the Salt Lake City team as well as 3D sonar systems and other underwater technologies as part of the larger Coda Octopus group.
You will play a key role in the design, verification and implementation of FPGA firmware and real-time signal processing solutions for new and existing products. Working within a multidisciplinary engineering team, you will contribute to the development of advanced sonar, navigation, communication, and sensing systems, including FPGA, DSP and GPU-accelerated (CUDA) processing technologies.
The successful candidate will be degree qualified (or equivalent) and have a minimum of five years' experience in FPGA firmware development. You will possess strong digital design, verification and hardware debugging skills, together with excellent problem-solving abilities, creativity, integrity and a genuine enthusiasm for technology and learning.
