Job summary

Command Post Technologies, Inc. is seeking an FPGA Engineer to join the Hypersonics Projectiles Division supporting NSWC Dahlgren to develop high-performance digital systems.

You will design, implement, and optimize FPGA solutions using VHDL, Verilog, and high-level synthesis, collaborating with hardware and software teams to ensure reliable hardware integration, timing analysis, and validated testbases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering.
• 3–7 years FPGA design experience.
• Proficiency in VHDL and Verilog.
• Experience with HDL design tools and timing analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design FPGA architectures for real-time, high-speed applications.
• Implement and optimize VHDL/Verilog code for FPGA designs.
• Conduct simulation, synthesis, and timing analysis for performance.
• Debug and validate FPGA designs with industry tools and methods.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, systems teams on integrated solutions.
• Develop and maintain FPGA testbenches for verification.
• Support system integration, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Document design specs, details, and test results.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
