Job summary

Annapurna Labs, part of Amazon Web Services, seeks a CPLD/FPGA Firmware Engineer to join the ML Acceleration Server Firmware team. You will develop firmware enabling power sequencing and control systems for ML acceleration servers in data centers.

You will collaborate cross-functionally with software and hardware teams, building scalable, testable designs using Verilog, C/C++, and Python to deploy firmware from emulation to production at scale.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture of new and existing systems.
• Experience in at least one software programming language.
• 3+ years of HDL experience (Verilog/VHDL/SystemC).

Responsibilities

• Develop CPLD and FPGA programs for power sequencing and protocol management (PWM, I2C, SPI).
• Develop systems software and drivers for ML acceleration servers.
• Define test and automation flows to validate firmware.
• Evaluate and optimize firmware performance across AWS scale.
• Build error detection and recovery mitigation systems for deployment.
