Job summary

Kobalt in New York City is seeking a Junior Analyst in Corporate Finance (FP&A) to join a global team and support planning and budgeting for all business units. This hybrid role requires three days in the local NYC office and full-time permanent employment.

You will assist with forecasting, revenue and margin analyses, and developing financing models to provide insight for senior management. You will collaborate across departments and use data to drive improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting or economics is required.
• Proficiency in Excel (SUMIFS, INDEXMATCH, IFS) is required.
• Interest in SQL, Python, or Tableau and willingness to learn is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of regular weekly/monthly/quarterly management reporting deliverables.
• Capture detailed notes during weekly and monthly business calls and summarize takeaways with the team.
• Improve and integrate data across multiple systems and departments (using SQL) to increase reliability, accuracy and usefulness of reporting.
• Maintain revenue and margin models across actuals, budget, and forecast figures.
• Adopt new tools to assist with process improvements.
• Respond to ad-hoc requests for financial analysis.
