Job summary

Pattern is seeking a driven FP&A Intern to work with our full-time FP&A Analysts in a fast-growing ecommerce tech environment. You will help turn financial and operational data into forecasts, models, and reports used by leadership to make decisions, building analyses that matter, not just observing them.

You will assist with budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, while developing scalable financial solutions and dashboards.

Qualifications

• Junior or Senior in college pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• Foundational knowledge of accounting and finance principles, including the three financial statements.
• Analytical and financial modeling skills preferred.
• Proficient in Excel, VBA, MS Office, and Google Sheets.
• Familiarity with NetSuite and Tableau is a plus.
• Ability to work with large data sets and develop scalable reporting solutions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Willingness to learn and collaborate with a fast-growing team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing and distributing financial analysis and reporting packages.
• Develop detailed financial forecasts and models.
• Pull, clean, and reconcile data from multiple sources.
• Perform variance analysis and summarize findings for the FP&A team.
• Support month-end, quarterly, and annual budgeting and forecasting cycles.
• Build and refine dashboards tracking key metrics.
• Document model assumptions and methodologies.
• Own a project or analysis and present recommendations.
• Collaborate with analysts and managers to drive actionable insights.
