Job summary

Stantec in Charlottesville, VA is seeking a hands-on Financial Planning & Compliance Manager to join our team. You will be the CFO’s right hand, guiding budgeting, forecasting, and reporting while building automated Power BI dashboards for government contracting programs.

The role requires deep knowledge of FAR/DFARS, DCAA audits, indirect rate structures, and GovCon ERP systems like Deltek. You will prepare financial reports and strengthen internal controls in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• 5+ years of progressive FP&A or compliance experience.
• Experience in a federal government contracting environment is required.
• Strong understanding of FAR/DFARS, DCAA audits, indirect rate structures, and other federal compliance areas.
• Advanced Excel and modeling skills.
• Proficiency with Power BI or equivalent dashboarding tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
• Build and maintain dynamic financial models, including project-level forecasts and company-wide projections.
• Develop Power BI dashboards and reports to drive insights across the business.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support government compliance efforts including: Indirect rate development and monitoring, ICE, DCAA compliance.
