Job summary

World’s Finest Chocolate is seeking a skilled FP&A Analyst for the Supply Chain & Procurement functions in Chicago. You will support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across manufacturing, logistics, production planning, and procurement, driving cost insights and cross-functional collaboration.

The role requires 2–3 years in corporate finance or a comparable quantitative function, with strong Excel skills and experience in modeling.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting required; master's or CPA preferred.
  • 2-3 years in corporate finance or similar quantitative role; exposure to supply chain functions a plus.
  • General accounting or cost accounting experience is a bonus.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • SAP experience or similar is preferred; strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with urgency in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for complex financial data.

Responsibilities

  • Support annual budget, LCE, and monthly cost forecasting for Manufacturing, Logistics, Production Planning, Capital Investments, and Procurement.
  • Prepare recurring cost analyses, management reports, and schedules for assigned functions.
  • Analyze results vs. budget and LCE; provide commentary on variances, risks, and savings opportunities.
  • Evaluate manufacturing metrics: labor efficiency, production volume, material usage, and COGS drivers.
  • Collaborate with Logistics to analyze freight, warehousing, and logistics cost drivers.
  • Track capital expenditures against budgets and forecasts; analyze ROI and payback periods.

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced FP&A Analyst – Supply Chain & Procurement to join the Finance team. This individual will conduct and review quantitative analysis support across Manufacturing, Logistics, Production Planning, Engineering, and Procurement. This position will also assist in corporate budgeting and the Latest Current Estimation (LCE) process. The ideal candidate brings 2 to 3 years of experience in Corporate Finance or a similar quantitative role, preferably with exposure to manufacturing, logistics, procurement, or other supply chain functions. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a proven ability to manage cross-functional collaboration.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support the annual budget, LCE, and monthly cost - forecasting processes for Manufacturing, Logistics, Production Planning, Capital Investments, and Procurement.
  • Prepare recurring cost analyses, management reports, and supporting schedules for assigned operational functions.
  • Analyze financial results against budget and LCE, identify key cost drivers, and provide actionable, forward-looking commentary on variances, risks, and savings opportunities.
  • Analyze manufacturing performance including labor efficiency, production volume, material usage, scrap, and other cost of goods sold drivers.
  • Partner with Logistics to analyze freight & warehousing expenses, including shipment volume & segment mix, storage costs, accessorial charges, and other logistics related cost drivers.
  • Track capital expenditures against approved budgets and forecasts, and provide analysis for proposed investments using ROI, payback period, cost savings, productivity improvements, and other relevant financial measures.
  • Monitor procurement spending and PPV, comparing budget and LCE, including changes in material costs, vendor pricing, and purchase volumes.
  • Partner with Procurement to validate, track, and report cost savings initiatives and other financial impacts of sourcing decisions.
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators that highlight cost trends, operational performance, and unexpected variances.
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses and build financial models to support operational decisions, sourcing strategies, productivity initiatives, and cost reduction opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Accounting and Cost Accounting to validate financial results and variance reporting, ensure appropriate expense classification, and resolve data discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with IT on identifying and implementing business systems necessary to meet reporting requirements.
  • Provide management and department leaders with timely financial analysis and clearly communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Manipulate and automate large amounts of data and interlinked files in Excel for analysis and reporting. Advanced Excel pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and formula work are part of daily work.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, master's degree or CPA preferred
  • 2 - 3 years’ experience in Corporate Finance, ideally supporting supply chain and/or procurement; Candidates with experience in a similar analytical or quantitative role will also be considered.

  • SAP experience or similar preferred
  • Strong analytical, problem - solving, and financial modeling skills

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
  • Wage Range: $75k - $85k
  • Win as One Bonus Target: 5 % based on company and/or individual performance

Reports to: Senior Director and Controller

LOCATION AND SCHEDULE

This is a hybrid role. Travel to World’s Finest Chocolate’s Chicago headquarters is required on a monthly basis for employees who live in state and on a quarterly basis for employees who live out of state. Monday–Friday, 8:30AM – 5:00PM
