Grocery-Outlet in Emeryville, CA, is seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis professional to join our Finance team. You will contribute to financial planning, reporting, and forecasting, collaborating with accounting, business teams, and senior executives.

The role reports to the Manager of Finance and focuses on driving accurate, timely insights for decision-making. Key duties include partnering with Merchandising, Supply Chain, and Technology to improve performance, preparing regular KPI

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• 1-3 years of financial analysis experience or related equivalent.
• Proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Advanced Excel modeling skills required.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Solid financial acumen including forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
• Strong interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and balance multiple responsibilities.
• Commitment to data integrity and process efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Partner with key business functions to drive financial performance improvements.
• Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting and analysis for stakeholders.
• Drive improvement in KPI and financial analyses.
• Explain drivers of variances to forecast and budget for P&L lines.
• Assist with materials for Quarterly earnings calls and Board meetings.
• Prepare and present analyses, forecasts, reports, and recommendations to senior leaders.
• Analyze past and current financial performance data.
• Generate and build ad-hoc reports and analyses.
