Job summary

Lithium Americas is seeking an Analyst, FP&A to join its Finance team in Reno, NV. The role supports the Thacker Pass operation and Corporate FP&A by performing managerial accounting, financial analysis, and business partnership.

You will help produce site-level financial reporting and support operational decision‑making as the project advances. The position reports to the Manager, FP&A and may transition to reporting to the Finance Manager, Thacker Pass.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2–3 years of accounting/financial analysis experience.
• CPA or CMA designation (or progress toward one) is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and monthly variance analysis for the Thacker Pass operation.
• Prepare and analyze cost reports, operational KPIs, and financial performance metrics.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting to Corporate Finance.
• Partner with site operations teams to provide financial insights that support day‑to‑day and strategic decision‑making.
• Maintain accurate cost accounting records, inventory tracking, and capital project reporting.
• Contribute to the development and documentation of internal controls, supporting SOX compliance efforts.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance financial accuracy, efficiency, and transparency.
