Sandalwood Management, Inc. at Four Winds Apartments in Corpus Christi, TX seeks a Full Time Painter to support make-ready, maintenance and housekeeping teams.

You will paint interiors of apartments and other multi-family dwellings, protect property, and prepare units for new residents while coordinating with maintenance staff. A strong work ethic, safety awareness, and customer service mindset are essential in this fast-paced role.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience as a porter, groundskeeper, maintenance technician, Painter or related position.
• Paint sprayer and/or maintenance experience required.
• Apartment Make Ready experience preferred.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Strong work ethic and customer service skills.
• Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Complete painting jobs on make-ready units in a timely manner.
• Paint interiors of apartments, condos, town homes, etc., and other multi-family dwellings.
• Protect furnishings, materials, carpets, floors, trims, fixtures and other property before and after painting.
• Assess tools needed to complete major jobs and coordinate with the maintenance team.
• Maintain community appearance by inspecting and touring the property.
• Report concerns or hazards to the Maintenance Supervisor or Community Manager.
• Assist in projects as directed by supervisors and Sandalwood policy.
• Make vacant apartments ready for new residents (painting, carpet cleaning, repairs).
• Follow safety programs and wear required safety equipment.
• Keep storage areas clean, orderly and locked; assist with grounds duties.
• Be available to work any day of the week; lift up to 50 pounds.

We have an immediate opening available for a Full Time Painter at Four Winds Apartments a 404 unit apartment complex in Corpus Christi, TX.The Painter supports the maintenance, make-ready and housekeeping team to help prepare apartments and complete resident service requests. This is a fast-paced environment that demands attention to detail, hard work and the highest level of customer service.WHAT YOU'LL DO: Complete painting jobs on make-ready units in a timely manner Paint the interiors of apartments, condos, town homes, etc. and other multi-family dwellings as required Protect nearby furnishings, building materials, carpets, floors, trims, landscaping, fixtures, lights and other property before and after every painting job Be able to prepare for major jobs by assessing the appropriate tools needed to complete project Work with maintenance team, contractors, vendors and other affiliates in preparation of units and grounds Maintain community appearance by regularly inspecting and touring the property. Report any concerns or hazardous conditions immediately and other needed repairs/maintenance to the Maintenance Supervisor or Community Manager. Assist in projects as directed by Maintenance Supervisor, Community Manager and Sandalwood policy Acquire and maintain thorough knowledge of the buildings, grounds, swimming pools and other areas as required Assist in making vacant apartments ready for new resident including but not limited to painting, carpet cleaning, repairs, etc. Make repairs in a timely manner Follow all safety programs implemented by Sandalwood Management and ensure and instruct staff as needed on proper use and guidelines for wearing safety items. Ensure that storage areas remain clean, orderly and locked when not in use. Assists in keeping grounds neat and free of litter. Rake, sweep and shovel as circumstances warrant. Perform any and all duties called upon by supervisors to ensure that property operates in an efficient and economic manner Conduct all business in accordance with Sandalwood policies and procedures, state and federal laws e.g. OSHA, ADA, Fair Housing, etc. Must be able to take initiative, have capacity to trouble shoot, have a positive attitude, and always be willing to get the job done Have a sense of urgency with the ability to multi-task under pressure Be able to lift 50 pounds regularly using appropriate safety guidelines with or without assistance Be committed to excellent customer service and satisfaction by displaying a friendly and courteous attitude towards residents and guests Possess and maintain a positive professional attitude Promote honesty in the workplace and be an ethical team player Painters must wear appropriate safety equipment as required, including but not limited to: back support belt; goggles when working with specific equipment; masks and gloves; and other safety equipment as tasks dictate.
