Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience as a dental assistant.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Radiology certification.
• Experience with dental software such as Open Dental or Dentrix.
• Solid knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operatories and sterilize instruments.
• Assist the dentist chairside using four-handed dentistry.
• Take x-rays and intraoral photos.
• Enter treatment plans accurately based on the doctor’s diagnosis.
• Educate patients and provide post-operative instructions.
• Complete dental charting and coding.
• Handle lab duties including pouring models, taking impressions, and fabricating temporary crowns.
• Stock supplies and maintain equipment.
• Document and protect patient health information accurately.
