Job summary

Amsted Rail is seeking an entry-level laborer for its Kansas City foundry operations. The role supports production across melting, casting, mold prep, wheel prep, and material movement, with a focus on safety and teamwork.

Candidates should be ready for a 24-hour operation, flexibility for off-shift work, and a 90-day probation. Training will progress toward permanent positions as bids occur.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be available to work any of the shifts in a 24 hour operation.
• Possess mechanical aptitude/ability.
• Ability to learn Statistical Process Control Methods.
• Express work ethic, initiative, attention to detail, and safety awareness.
• Must maintain attendance and dependability.

Responsibilities

• Learn and fulfill needs of production departments in various positions.
• Perform tasks related to melting, casting, mold preparation, wheel preparation, moving foundry materials.
• Maintain facility housekeeping and safety practices.
