Job summary

Keycard, based in New York City, is building the intelligence layer for skilled mechanics. As a founding engineer, you will shape core product and architecture, shipping across the stack and working directly with users.

You’ll lead development of real-time voice agents, AI-powered retrieval, and UI tools. The role offers meaningful early-stage equity and a generous AI tool budget, with a preference for in-person collaboration but remote options for the right fit.

Qualifications

• Experience building LLM products and retrieval techniques.
• Experience with React, TypeScript, Ruby, or Python.
• Proven ability to prototype, seek feedback, and iterate quickly.
• Experience owning end-to-end production systems.

Responsibilities

• Build realtime voice agents for heavy machinery.
• Architect AI-powered retrieval systems across repairs.
• Extend the bidirectional context sync with ERPs.
• Build nimble UIs for on-site use and fieldwork.
• Develop evals, monitoring, and review tools for AI.
• Take on leadership roles as the company grows.
