As a founding server, you’ll contribute to shaping service standards, guest journeys, and staff culture while learning about Appalachian-inspired cuisine and a chef-driven tasting menu that emphasizes local farms and seasonal ingredients.

Qualifications

• Previous serving experience in a full-service restaurant required.
• Warmth and genuine care for guests.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Curiosity about food, beverage, and culinary techniques.
• Ability to learn and communicate detailed menu knowledge.
• Collaborative team player with a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Create warm, genuine, and memorable guest experiences from arrival through departure.
• Guide guests through a chef-driven tasting menu experience.
• Develop knowledge of the menu, ingredients, sourcing, and stories behind dishes.
• Explain unfamiliar ingredients in an engaging, approachable way.
• Make thoughtful recommendations based on guest preferences and dietary needs.
• Develop knowledge of wine, beer, spirits, cocktails, and non-alcoholic offerings.
• Communicate clearly and collaborate with culinary, bar, host, and support teams.
• Anticipate guest needs and manage pacing and table dynamics.
• Execute service with accuracy, urgency, and care.
• Participate in pre-opening training, tastings, mock services, and ongoing education.
