Job summary

UpCore Solutions is seeking a skilled full-stack engineer in New York to design, develop, and implement new technologies across products and services. You will work with product teams to translate business needs into robust technical solutions and help design scalable, secure infrastructure.

You will mentor engineers, participate in code reviews, and stay current with emerging tech to inform adoptions. Strong collaboration across teams is required for timely delivery in a dynamic startup

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in CS, Eng, or related field.
• 3–8 years of full-stack engineering experience.
• Strong experience with Java, Python, or Node.js.
• Experience with cloud technologies and microservices.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and implement new technologies and features for our products and services


• Work closely with the product team to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions


• Design and maintain our systems and infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security


• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other engineers on the team


• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality


• Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends, and make recommendations for their adoption

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field


• 3 - 8 years of experience in full-stack engineering, with a focus on backend or full-stack development


• Strong experience with at least one modern programming language (Java, Python, Node.js, etc.)


• Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and microservices architecture


• Experience with database design and management (SQL, NoSQL)


• Strong understanding of software engineering principles and best practices


• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills


• Ability to work independently and in a team environment


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills


• Passion for learning and staying updated on emerging technologies


• Previous experience in a startup environment is a plus
