Job summary

Asymptote Labs is seeking a Founding Engineer, Security to help build the security infrastructure for the agentic enterprise. You will shape telemetry, detections, and response for AI agents and production systems.

You'll work directly with Asymptote's founders across security research, detection engineering, product, and infrastructure, defining the platform and owning major components from day one.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of security engineering or related fields.
• Strong software engineering and production systems experience.
• Deep understanding of security fundamentals across identity, authentication, authorization, networks, cloud infrastructure, endpoints, or application security.
• Experience turning large telemetry into useful security signals.
• Ability to think adversarially and understand how attackers abuse complex systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and build the AI Detection & Response Platform.
• Develop detections for attacks like prompt injection, privilege escalation, credential theft, data exfiltration.
• Build infrastructure that operates reliably across developer environments, CI/CD, cloud, and enterprise deployments.
• Shape telemetry collection, data models, and security workflows for investigations and responses.
