Applied Intuition Inc. is building the robotics software foundation for cutting‑edge autonomous systems.

You will define the architecture for robotics software, write production Python and C++ code, and develop learning-based policies for manipulation and locomotion on real hardware from day one. You will create demonstrations across multiple robot platforms, establish physics-based simulation, and analyze telemetry to improve robustness.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Robotics, CS, Electrical Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience
• 7+ years of robotics software development, including humanoid/legged or dexterous platforms
• Proven track record shipping learning-based systems (behavior cloning, RL, or VLA) to real robots
• Strong proficiency in Python and C++ for robotics and ML systems; PyTorch or similar
• Deep understanding of robotics fundamentals: kinematics, dynamics, control, state estimation, perception
• Experience building visuomotor or multimodal policies end-to-end, from data collection to deployment
• Ability to operate independently in an early-stage environment and make architectural decisions
• Comfort debugging live robots, running hardware-in-the-loop tests, and iterating quickly

Responsibilities

• Define and own the technical architecture for humanoid robotics software across perception, planning, control, and learned behaviors
• Write production-quality Python and C++ code and ship it to physical robots as a hands-on IC
• Design, train, evaluate, and deploy learning-based policies for manipulation and locomotion
• Build functional demos on multiple robot hardware platforms to prove capabilities and inform the product roadmap
• Establish simulation infrastructure and validate behaviors in physics-based environments before hardware deployment
• Instrument robots, analyze telemetry and failure data to improve robustness
• Work with teleoperation and data pipelines to generate training data and close the sim-to-real gap
• Identify and recruit the next engineers for the team
