William James College is seeking a founding Program Director for its Rhode Island-based Clinical PsyD program, launching ahead of Fall 2027. You will lead vision, curriculum, recruitment, and partnerships, shaping the program’s academic presence in Rhode Island and guiding its long-term success.

Responsibilities include establishing accreditation readiness, collaborating with Newton-based faculty, and developing pathways for graduates to contribute to the regional behavioral health workforce.

Qualifikationen

• A doctoral degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology and knowledge of APA accreditation standards.
• Five or more years of higher education leadership and program administration experience.
• Ability to translate vision into action, develop structure, and uphold academic quality.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills to engage faculty and external partners.

• Build and launch the Rhode Island Clinical PsyD program and establish accreditation readiness.
• Shape curriculum, program strategy, student success, and APA accreditation readiness.
• Recruit and develop faculty and foster a collaborative academic culture.
• Establish partnerships with healthcare organizations, schools and community agencies.
• Serve as senior on-site academic leader in Rhode Island and collaborate across the College.
• Strengthen pathways into behavioral health professions and contribute to regional workforce needs.
• Lay a lasting foundation for future psychologists and communities they serve.
