Job summary

Float is hiring a founding Product Manager for Credit & Risk Engineering to own the decisioning and monitoring layer that underpins our credit product. You’ll lead a small engineering team across the FlexLine project while ensuring scalable risk operations and fast, accurate decisioning.

You will sit at the intersection of Float’s credit roadmap and growth funnel, partnering with senior stakeholders to stabilize existing systems and deliver new risk tooling in a fast‑growing fintech environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of product management experience owning a credit underwriting or risk‑decisioning outcome.
• Experience building infrastructure or internal tooling for a team‑focused backend.
• Experience with KYB/KYC, transaction monitoring, fraud, AML, payments operations, or disputes.
• Automation‑first mindset: how a decision becomes automatic.
• Comfort negotiating scope with senior, opinionated stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own the roadmap and sequencing for the Credit & Risk Engineering squad across domains.
• Own decisioning and automation systems that drive KYB/KYC approval speed and accuracy.
• Own tooling behind fraud detection, AML compliance, payments ops, and disputes.
• Own risk decision operating cost per account as the efficiency metric.
• Own in‑app credit experiences and their target speed aligned with the credit roadmap.
• Be the standing source of truth on credit roadmap boundaries with senior leaders.
