Job summary

Conductor, a small in-person team in San Francisco, is seeking a founding product designer to craft beautiful and intuitive interfaces for the next generation of IDEs and help shape our brand. You’ll move fast, take pride in your work, and bring strong opinions about software, with startup experience and a track record designing for developers.

You’ll join the co-founders and help build a company culture that values rapid shipping, deep craftsmanship, and an unusual equity opportunity.

Qualifications

• Founding product designer who can help create beautiful and intuitive interfaces for the next generation of IDEs and shape our brand.
• You’re probably a good fit if you move fast, care about craft, and have strong opinions about software.
• Experience designing products for developers and prior startup experience are a plus.

About Conductor

We're a small, in-person team in San Francisco building the first AI orchestrator.

Conductor lets you run a team of coding agents on your Mac. We launched a few months ago, and are now used by engineers at leading companies like Linear, Vercel, Notion, Stripe, and Y Combinator. One user told me:

Compensation

Pay

Compared to similar companies at our stage, we aim to pay roughly median salary and 90th percentile equity.

We give out more stock than other companies because we hire less, and each employee can make an unusually large impact.
