Jalen Rose Leadership Academy in Detroit is seeking a Principal in Residence for the middle school to launch and lead JRLA’s future campus as part of its expansion. The role partners with the Superintendent to build systems for student achievement, culture, and community engagement.

Qualifikationen

• You believe ALL children can and will succeed regardless of their zip code.
• Valid Michigan administrative certification or demonstrated results as a building-level leader and willingness to obtain certification within 18 months.
• Bachelor’s degree in the subject area or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• At least three years of experience leading a school and at least 5 years of classroom teaching with proven results.
• You are an instructional leader focused on middle school curriculum and pedagogical strategies.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate middle school scholars and staff.
• Willing to work outside of standard hours and on weekends.
• Open to giving and receiving frequent feedback.

• Plan and launch JRLA’s future middle school campus and instructional programming.

• Lead a collaborative team responsible for achieving school goals and excellence.
• Build strong relationships with students, staff, families, funders, and the community.
