Job summary

Solanus Catholic High School seeks a founding Principal to lead a new Catholic high school in the Saint Croix Valley, launching 9th grade in Fall 2027. The role partners with the Supervising Pastor, diocesan leadership, and a board to shape culture, academics, enrollment, and advancement while preserving Catholic identity.

The successful candidate will develop strategic plans, oversee operations, and build a strong faculty and student community grounded in faith and excellence.

Qualifications

• Practicing Catholic in good standing and able to articulate Catholic mission.
• Experience leading Catholic or mission-driven schools or nonprofits.
• Ability to oversee strategic planning, budget, enrollment, and advancement.
• Knowledge of secondary education, accreditation, safety, and regulations.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Advance and safeguard the school’s Catholic mission, identity, and values.
• Promote liturgical life, faith formation, service learning, and campus ministry.
• Lead the development and assessment of the school’s strategic plan.
• Set annual goals and priorities with the board and diocesan leadership.
• Recruit, hire, supervise, and evaluate faculty and staff.
• Ensure fiscal sustainability and responsible stewardship of resources.
• Develop enrollment strategies and foster community partnerships.
• Serve as ambassador and spokesperson for the school.
