Job summary

Extend is building a modern document processing cloud and seeks a Software Engineer to help power our core platform in New York City. You’ll craft scalable systems for processing vast, unstructured data and deliver intuitive product experiences with strong attention to detail.

As a founding team member, you’ll own substantial areas of product and engineering, working directly with the CEO and CTO to shape a rapidly evolving platform at the intersection of LLMs and data processing, with

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience building complex software systems in production environments.
• You've been at high-growth startups and know what "great" looks like.
• Ability to take abstract projects end-to-end, operating with high agency.
• Experience deploying AI/ML systems into production environments.
• Experience with developer tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build, and maintain, durable, scalable systems capable of processing 10s of millions of data points per month.
• Design and implement intuitive human-AI interfaces for document processing and UX patterns.
• Own large areas of product and engineering with direct customer interaction.
• Collaborate with leadership to grow the team and roadmap.
