Job summary

Arceus Legal in San Francisco is seeking a Founding Operations leader to build and run the systems that let us scale. This is an in-person role based in San Francisco, supporting our operations team, legal delivery, customers, and everything that keeps the company moving.

You will own structure and process across internal operations, customer support, and legal delivery, turning work into documented, repeatable systems and driving fast, high-ownership outcomes as the company grows.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of work experience in management consulting, investment banking, or a similar analytical, high-performance environment.
• Willing to work 12+ hours per day, 6 days a week (including weekends).
• Thrives in a high-bar environment where everyone is expected to go above and beyond.
• Owns outcomes from start to finish with a track record of reliability.
• Organized and disciplined, with a habit of documenting and systematizing processes.
• Moves at a high pace with strong urgency to deliver results.

Responsibilities

• Drive cross-functional process ownership — handoffs, scheduling, SLA tracking, reporting, and coordination between Legal, CS, and GTM.
• Support the customer operating experience — satisfaction tracking and process improvements across the customer journey.
• Enable legal delivery — support the legal team with cross-functional process optimizations.
• Identify friction points and drive product and process changes to fix them.
• Manage general operations — billing, vendors, scheduling, office logistics.
• Jump in wherever needed to keep the company moving fast.

We are hiring a Founding Operations to build and run the systems that let us scale — supporting our operations team, legal team, customers, and everything that keeps the company moving.

This is an in-person role based in San Francisco.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

• Day 7: You're onboarded and owning your first workstream

• Day 14: You've taken over a recurring process end to end — running it, and already improving it

• Day 30: You are running multiple workstreams at once without dropping the ball, and your first playbooks are live

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

• Drive cross-functional process — handoffs, scheduling, service-level tracking, reporting, and coordination between Legal, CS, and GTM

• Support the customer operating experience — satisfaction tracking, follow-up, and process improvements across the entire customer journey

• Enable legal delivery — act as the supporting function to our legal team, driving cross-functional process optimizations that let lawyers spend their time on legal work

• Find and remove friction — identify where operations and customers are getting stuck, and drive the product and process changes that fix it

• General operations — billing, vendors, scheduling, office, and whatever else keeps the company running

• Jump on whatever needs doing to keep the company moving fast

EXPERIENCE

• 2-5 years of work experience in management consulting, investment banking, or a similar analytical, high-performance environment; startup, high-growth background also a strong plus

• You are relentless, and will work 12+ hours per day, 6 days a week (yes, including weekends)

• You thrive in an environment with an exceptionally high bar, where everyone is expected to go above and beyond

• You own outcomes from start to finish and have a track record of never dropping the ball

• You are exceptionally organized and disciplined, and you default to documenting and systematizing

• You move at an incredible pace and have insane urgency to deliver results

• You respond to setbacks with resilience, resourcefulness, and a determination to find a way

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $80,000 – $110,000
