Job summary

Frontier Institute of Technology seeks a Founding General Manager to lead its city hub, raise founding capital, assemble a high‑performing team, and own the full P&L. You will shape local talent ecosystems, partnerships, and revenue models while scaling a national movement into a sustainable regional operation.

You will leverage your network to mobilize capital, build advocacy with civic and corporate partners, and drive measurable learner and employer outcomes in your market.

Qualifications

  • Seasoned leader with track record of founding or scaling organizations.
  • Proven ability to mobilize capital and manage complex stakeholder ecosystems.
  • Experience running a P&L, building teams, and delivering growth.

Responsibilities

  • Represent Frontier’s mission and build the AI talent ecosystem in the city.
  • Raise founding capital from foundations, corporate partners, and major donors.
  • Convene a founding advisory board of civic, philanthropic, and corporate leaders.
  • Build the employer coalition that anchors the local talent pipeline.
  • Hire and lead the local team across operations, learner success, employer partnerships, and marketing.
  • Launch Frontier’s first short courses, micro-credentials, and degree cohorts in your market.
  • Own full P&L responsibility—revenue, costs, margin, and long-term sustainability of the city hub.
  • Drive measurable outcomes: job placements, income growth, ventures launched.
  • Represent Frontier as a thought leader on the local and national stage.
