Job summary

The Olde Mecklenburg Brewery (OMB) is seeking a General Manager to lead OMB Riverview at Mount Holly, opening Fall 2026. This hands-on leadership role requires building leaders, delivering an outstanding guest experience, and upholding OMB’s standards.

You will spend time with LoSo and Ballantyne teams before opening, recruit and develop the founding leadership team, and oversee operations, labor, and compliance to ensure quality beer, food, and service.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in high-volume restaurant, hospitality, or biergarten operations.
• Proven track record of building, coaching, and retaining strong management teams.
• Deep operational fluency – labor, scheduling, P&L, inventory, and cost controls.
• Working knowledge of NC ABC regulations, food safety standards, and applicable health codes.
• Exceptional communication, presence, and judgment under pressure.
• Genuine passion for craft beer, food, and hospitality – and a commitment to OMB's standard of quality.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as the business requires.

Responsibilities

• Launch OMB Riverview – pre-opening readiness, hiring, training, vendor setup, operating standards.
• Recruit and develop the founding leadership team, instilling OMB’s culture and standards.
• Partner with senior leadership on opening timeline, licensing, and launch execution.
• Set the tone and standard for leadership, hospitality, and professionalism.
• Serve as a visible, engaged leader on the floor, supporting the team.
• Inspire accountability, pride, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure warm, welcoming guest interactions across all venues.
• Oversee daily operations, align teams, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and ABC regulations.
• Manage labor, scheduling, and operating costs; use data to drive decisions.
• Plan, execute, and participate in special events and growth initiatives.
