Ternion Security in the Greater Seattle area is seeking a hands-on engineer to own the web console and the mobile app. You’ll ship production React/TypeScript UI and native iOS SwiftUI, with a shared Kotlin Multiplatform core powering Android and beyond.

You’ll collaborate with a small, senior team on AI-assisted coding workflows, while owning the end-to-end user experience, performance, and accessibility in high-stakes security software.

Formación

• Proven experience shipping web UI in React/TypeScript.
• Strong iOS native skills with Swift/SwiftUI.
• Production Kotlin and a shared multiplatform core is a plus.
• Offline-first data handling and reliable sync.
• Accessible design respecting WCAG 2.2 AA.

We’re a stealth, venture-backed company. We build AI-native security operations software for critical infrastructure. Our users protect sites that run around the clock. They’re security experts. Most aren’t software people. If our software needs a manual, we failed.

This seat owns the two apps our users touch: the web console and the mobile app. You build and ship both, with the design judgment to make them simple. AI agents write much of our code. You review every change and make the final call.

What you’ll do

• Own the web console end to end, from interaction design to production React and TypeScript.

• Own the mobile app. iOS ships first in SwiftUI on a shared Kotlin Multiplatform core. Android follows in Jetpack Compose on the same core.

• Own offline use, critical alerts and device security on mobile.

• Build calm, fast screens for people under pressure — on night shift, often in gloves.

• Make live data easy to act on. A new user gets it right the first time.

• Build and change the APIs your screens need, with our platform and ML engineers.

• Own mobile CI, builds and releases.

• Do a two-week field tour as a forward-deployed engineer. Bring what you learn back to the team.

What you bring

• Production apps you shipped and owned on web and mobile. Show us the work.

• Strong React and TypeScript, including real-time, data-dense screens.

• Native iOS in Swift and SwiftUI.

• Production Kotlin. Kotlin Multiplatform and Jetpack Compose are a plus.

• Offline-first data and sync on mobile, including conflict handling.

• Maps and live video in production apps.

• Accessibility to WCAG 2.2 AA.

• Design taste. You make complex things simple for non-technical users.

• Daily, fluent use of AI coding agents. You’ll show us your real workflow in the interview.

• Ownership. You find problems and fix them.

• U.S. citizenship. Government and critical infrastructure work in this role requires it.

• Greater Seattle area, in person. The founding team builds together.

Nice to have: security or public-safety software.

The team

Founders with deep security and operations backgrounds lead the company. You join a small, senior engineering team with platform, ML and security systems experience.

Pay and benefits

$170,000–$220,000 base salary, set by depth of experience, plus founding equity. Medical, dental and vision coverage. 401(k). Unlimited PTO.
