Job summary

Evergreen Goodwill of Northwest Washington seeks a Founding Executive Director to lead the Evergreen Goodwill Education Center in Seattle, WA. This role will build the organization, recruit and supervise principals and staff, and shape the academic and operational program.

You will partner with funders, community leaders and the board to secure sustainable funding, set strategic goals for five anticipated Excel Centers, and ensure high school diploma outcomes for adult students.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of senior leadership experience with strategy, people leadership, operations, and finances.
• Experience building, launching, or transforming a school or educational organization.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead the Evergreen Goodwill Education Center; hire principals and staff.
• Shape operational and growth strategy for Excel Centers in Washington.
• Set enrollment, persistence, graduation, and postsecondary outcomes goals.
• Oversee budgeting, staffing, resources, accreditation, and regulatory compliance.
• Serve as external leader; fundraise, advocate, and engage partners while leading policy engagement.
• Build a sustainable institution to expand across the five counties Evergreen Goodwill serves.
