Healthcare Infrastructure Company is hiring a founding engineer to build the core platform in NYC, directly alongside the CEO and CTO. You will own multi-hat responsibilities—from platform decisions to AI pipelines and healthcare data integrations—inside a fast-paced, founder-led environment.

The role is on-site, 5+ days per week, with a scrappy, low-ego culture that values rapid iteration and ownership from day one.

Qualifications

About the role

We're hiring a high-energy ops whiz to join our team build from the ground up, working directly alongside our CEO, CTO, and team. The right person for this is role is someone who is scrappy, intelligent, detail-oriented and low-ego. For our team, there is no task too big and no task too small.

As a founding engineer, you’ll wear many hats at once! The main buckets of work will be:

• Platform. Build the systems of instant decisions for claims, eligibility, payments, and the workflows that our customers live in every day.
• Automated Intelligence. Insurance runs on unstructured chaos: faxes, EOBs, payer portals, phone calls. You'll build the AI pipelines that turn that mess into structured, trustworthy data — and the guardrails that make it safe to act on.
• Integrations. Clearinghouses, payers, EHRs. Every one of them is different and none of them is modern. You'll make them look like one clean system to everyone downstream.

We work hard and have fun doing it; this role will be in-person, 5+ days a week. If you are seeking for a role that you can turn off notifications at 5pm, this won’t be the best fit!

Who you are

Here are profiles we’re interested in:

• Someone excited about making a career-defining leap
• 2-10+ years of experience shipping production software, ideally inside a high-growth startup, owning features end to end; experience with healthcare claims is a huge plus
• Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of owning, collaborating, and coordinating around their work independently
• Experience building agentic systems (with Claude SDK, for example)
• Detail-oriented and low-ego: with teammates, customers and vendor
• Former (or aspiring) founder
