University of Cincinnati invites applications for the Associate/Full Professor and Founding Director of the Blood Cancer Healing Center. The role leads clinical and translational hematology/oncology programs in partnership with the UC Cancer Center and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.

It emphasizes strategic growth, multidisciplinary care, and national leadership in blood cancer care and trials. The position offers a pathway to NIH designation, heavy collaboration, and a securing research agenda

Qualifications

• MD or DO medical degree required.
• Internal Medicine residency completed.
• Fellowship in Hematology or Hematology-Oncology completed.
• Ohio Medical License and DEA license required.
• Experience leading or growing a comprehensive hematologic malignancies or related program is valued.
• Collaborative ability to build partnerships across departments and institutions.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for the BCHC clinical and translational programs.
• Develop a clear, ambitious vision aligning the BCHC with UCCC priorities and NIH designation goals.
• Build nationally prominent disease-focused programs in leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, and related areas.
• Expand investigator-initiated, cooperative group, industry-sponsored, and early-phase trials.
• Advance multidisciplinary models of care, patient experience, and clinical outcomes across the blood cancer continuum.
• Represent the BCHC and UC Cancer Center regionally and nationally, fostering partnerships.
