Job summary

Aedifice, Inc. seeks a Senior founding designer to own the full design surface including marketing, product, review queue, and internal tools. You will enforce editorial rigor, density, and precision for a professional audience of licensed architects and builders.

You will work directly with the founder and engineering, shaping typography, system rules, and the overall product voice. This role requires taste, restraint, and a craft standard you set for the team.

Qualifications

• Eight or more years of product design experience in a domain where accuracy matters.
• Written communication is essential; you write and own language in product surfaces.
• You ship systems rather than screens and you value restraint over ornamentation.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the review queue and raise its standard for professional use.
• Set the typographic system, density, and how drafts and citations appear on screen.
• Write internal design documentation so the team ships without constant approvals.
• Shape marketing and research surfaces to read as a single institution, with a unified voice.
• Own the voice of the product in copy, bridging product and content.
