Job summary

Trenon in New York is seeking a Founding Engineer to transform experimental perception into a production system that operates reliably on factory floors. You will own end-to-end perception, including detection, classification, tracking, and 3D vision, with low-latency inference on edge devices.

You will help build reusable perception infrastructure, work with a small founding team, and shape data strategies as Trenon launches its first US deployments in quality inspection and beyond.

Qualifications

• Strong Python, PyTorch, OpenCV, geometric vision, and real-time camera systems.
• Experience with synthetic data and Sim2Real, SLAM or VIO, depth and 3D reconstruction, CUDA or TensorRT, ROS2.
• We care whether you can own an underspecified physical-world problem end to end and distinguish a model metric from a product promise.

Responsibilities

• Own the path from experimental perception to a production system that works reliably in factories.
• Build real-world perception across detection, classification, tracking, and 3D vision.
• Train and debug PyTorch vision models across synthetic and real data.
• Deploy low-latency inference on NVIDIA Jetson and TensorRT.
• Deploy directly on factory floors and build reusable perception infrastructure.
• Over time, extend stack toward 3D trajectories, robot learning, and deployment.
