Augustus is building a US team from the ground up in New York City, and you will be one of the first engineers on the ground. You will own projects end-to-end, from design to delivery, in a small elite team that builds the programmable bank for digital assets and AI-enabled money movement.

You will work with engineering, product, and clients to transform complex financial problems into clean code. The role offers high ownership, fast decision-making, and meaningful impact from day one.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on software engineering experience (backend-focused).
• 1+ years in early-stage or small startup environments.
• Based in New York or willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own core banking system components end-to-end.
• Collaborate with product and clients to translate requirements into clean, scalable code.
• Make architecture and trade-off decisions early in the project lifecycle.
• Own delivery and quality, moving fast while maintaining reliability.
