Job summary

Scion Technology is seeking a founding engineer in San Francisco to help scale an AI-driven protection platform. You will own features end-to-end, leverage AI coding tools, and shape architecture, technical strategy, and product direction with direct influence.

The role requires strong fundamentals in CS, experience shipping major projects, and expertise in TS/React/Next.js, Python, and web automation. This is a backend-leaning, high-ownership opportunity in a fast-growing company.

Qualifications

• CS degree with strong fundamentals in software engineering
• Experience shipping end-to-end projects
• Proficient in TypeScript, React/Next.js, Python
• Experience with web scraping and browser automation (Playwright or Puppeteer)
• Experience with Git workflows and CI/CD
• ML/fine-tuning background is a plus

Responsibilities

• Scale the platform architecture to the next scale
• Build and maintain agent harnesses and automation across the system
• Web scraping/browser automation against fragmented carrier systems
• Maintain reliability of inbound-demand systems; fix and scale quickly
• Own features deployment; use AI coding tools while reviewing output
• Collaborate closely with founder on model and product direction
