Qualifications

ABOUT THE ROLE
Join an early-stage B2B SaaS team building AI-powered software for industrial distributors. You will work directly with customers to deploy the product, solve operational challenges, and turn what you learn into improvements to the core platform.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Customize data ingestion for customer file formats, ERP systems, and workflows so new deployments deliver value quickly.
- Lead discovery conversations and site visits with distributor teams, then translate their needs into product improvements.
- Build and ship prototypes, internal tools, and customer-facing workflows, and strengthen the solutions that prove useful.
- Develop AI agents and LLM-powered workflows that automate manual quoting and sales processes.
- Prepare and deliver product demos, participate in customer visits, and support pilots through adoption.
- Own technical customer relationships after launch and identify opportunities to improve outcomes.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- One to five years of full-stack or backend engineering experience building and shipping production software used by real customers.
- Experience with Python and TypeScript in full-stack or backend development.
- A degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, engineering, or another quantitative field.
- Experience working directly with customers and presenting technical work to non-technical buyers, such as in forward-deployed, solutions, sales engineering, or customer-facing engineering roles.
- Daily engineering experience with an AI coding assistant such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex.
- Ability to take a project from idea to launch; experience with hardware, procurement, supply chain, ERPs, or legacy integrations is valuable.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Base salary is $150,000 USD annually.
Visa sponsorship is available.
LOCATION
On-site in San Francisco, California.
