Job description

NYC preferredFull-time$70,000–$100,000 salary + 0.25–0.3% equityEarly careerWorks directly with the CEO

FairAppeal is the easiest way for homeowners to save money. We are small, moving fast, and taking big swings.

This is our first business hire. We need someone who is an athlete. You will run the operation and act as an extension of the founder and CEO, working side by side on everything that moves the company: building agent and business flow automations, researching new markets, managing operations, go-to-market, hiring, software development, and data scraping. You will own projects, ship work that gets used, and get handed hard problems to solve.

The person who thrives here is organized to a fault, catches the details everyone else drops, and finds a way through when the obvious path is a dead end. You move fast, and you close every loop.

What you’ll own
  • Running the operation. Keep the trains running and turn our one-off scrambles into systems that don't break.
  • Extension of the CEO. Carry the CEO's projects, decisions, and follow-ups, and speak for them in the rooms they can't be in.
  • Go-to-market. Outreach, campaign building, and figuring out what works and what doesn't.
  • Agent and automation building. Build the AI agents and business flow automations behind our pipeline and internal tools. You don't need to be an engineer, but you do need to get your hands dirty.
  • Research. Size up a new market, dig into the rules that govern it, and chase down the answer nobody has yet.
Who you are
  • 1 to 5 years of experience, ideally early in your career.
  • Strong critical thinking abilities and resourcefulness.
  • Operational experience, ideally managing complex and high-volume operations.
  • Relentlessly organized with sharp attention to detail.
  • A creative problem solver when the first three answers don't work.
  • Fast, low-ego, and reliable. You do what you say you'll do.
  • Comfortable with AI tools and able to pick up technical skills on your own.
  • Based in the New York City area, preferred. This role sits next to the CEO.

Bonus if you have worked at a technology company, an investment bank, or a hedge fund, or come from anywhere the bar was set by output.

You'll take on more, faster, than you would anywhere else, and you'll own the operation of a company that is still being built.
