Job summary

Kansas City Kansas Community College Foundation seeks a Manager of Development to lead comprehensive fundraising programs focused on major gifts, donor engagement, scholarship gifts, and community partnerships that support student success and workforce development.

The role engages alumni, individuals, corporate and foundation supporters, and manages a major donor portfolio while collaborating with College leadership to meet Foundation goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, communications, journalism, or related field.
• 3–5 years of fund development experience with direct fundraising responsibilities.
• Demonstrated success in major gift fundraising and donor relationship management.
• Familiarity with CRM nonprofit software.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising plan aligned with College and Foundation priorities.
• Manage a major donor portfolio of 50–75 donors.
• Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major gift prospects.
• Collaborate with the Executive Director to support capital, annual, scholarship, and special fundraising initiatives.
• Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, alumni, and business partners.
• Coordinate donor stewardship activities, including recognition, reporting, and communications.
• Maintain accurate donor records and track fundraising performance and outcomes.
