UCAN is seeking a Licensing Specialist to recruit and license foster families, assess home environments, and document licensure materials. You will write home studies, maintain files, and support foster parents to ensure safe, permanent homes for children.

Role requires collaboration with the DCFS and UCAN teams, travel to family homes, and strong communication. Licensure knowledge and trauma-informed practice are essential for success.

Qualifications

• BSW or BS/BA in Human Service field required.
• MSW or MS/MA preferred for higher levels.
• Child Care Act and 402 Certification required or preferred.

Responsabilités

• Develop foster family applicants and license them as foster parents.
• Assess families for suitability and write home studies.
• Maintain licensing records and licensing file for each family.
• Documents activity through letters, case notes and forms.
• Collaborate with UCAN and DCFS on licensure and compliance.
• Provide support to licensed foster parents to ensure stability.
