Job summary

4KIDS in Broward County seeks a compassionate Foster Parent Support Specialist to guide, advocate, and provide support to foster families and the children in their care. The role focuses on building strong relationships, crisis support, and faith-based encouragement aligned with 4KIDS values.

You will conduct home visits every 90 days, coordinate with DCF and schools, attend court hearings when needed, and help connect families with services and resources to promote stability and healing for

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, or related field.
• Christian faith and alignment with 4KIDS mission and values.
• Child Welfare certification preferred.
• Minimum one year of experience with children and families in foster care or related services.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
• Flexible hours including evenings for home visits.
• Must have reliable transportation and valid Florida driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong, supportive relationships with foster families via regular communication and ongoing support.
• Provide on-call and crisis support to foster families as needed.
• Advocate for services and resources to support child and family well‑being.
• Complete and maintain accurate case documentation and program records per Florida statutes.
• Conduct home visits every 90 days with each licensed foster family.
• Attend court hearings when necessary and support families through the legal process.
• Coordinate services with DCF, CBC lead agencies, schools, medical providers and community partners.
• Facilitate and participate in foster parent support groups and trainings.
• Relicense foster homes within caseload timelines and monitor compliance.
