Job summary

The State of Michigan's MDHHS seeks a program specialist to support foster home recruitment and retention in Genesee County. You will develop AFPRR plans, monitor progress, and work with county offices and partner agencies to strengthen the foster care network.

Responsibilities include data analysis, reporting on outcomes, and coordinating training resources for foster families. Hybrid/remote options may be considered; placement is in Detroit, Cadillac Place.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any major.
• Three years of professional experience, including one year at the experienced (P11) level in state service.

Responsibilities

• Develop, oversee, and monitor AFPRR plans for Genesee County.
• Recruit and retain foster homes; analyze county data on recruitment and retention trends.
• Collaborate with MDHHS county offices, private agencies and the Regional Resource Team.
• Provide training resources for foster parents and relative caregivers.
• Process requests for Family Incentive Grant funds for Genesee County.
