Job summary

Professional Services Group (PSG) is a community-based social services organization seeking a compassionate and dedicated Placement Specialist to join our Placement Referral Unit (PRU).

The Placement Referral Unit partners with Milwaukee Child Protective Services to place children in appropriate out-of-home settings. The role includes researching potential placements, coordinating timely arrangements, and documenting case activities for families and children involved in the welfare system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field preferred
• One year of experience in Child Welfare preferred

Responsibilities

• Conduct background and family-finding searches for relatives and non-relative connections
• Update and maintain client databases on a daily basis
• Collaborate with County and State programs, community partners, and other agencies
• Accurately document case activities and placement efforts
• Complete client intake calls and gather necessary information

Education
