Responsibilities

• Assist with ongoing program planning and development.
• Facilitate Nurturing Connections Training for foster parents.
• Coordinate placements for foster children to match their needs to providers.
• Handle inquiries regarding foster care licensing.
• Maintain contact and provide support to foster parents.
• Advocate for foster parents in emergency and crisis situations.

Community Impact Programs is now hiring for the full-time Foster Care Licensing & Recruitment Specialist!

CIP is a non-profit organization working closely with communities to provide services in foster care, youth justice, and child welfare.

Job Summary

The Resource Development (RD) program with Community Impact Programs is responsible for recruiting and retaining foster parents and childcare providers for the Kenosha County Division of Social Services. As the Foster Care Licensing & Recruitment Specialist, you will make recommendations to the Kenosha County Division of Children and Family Services regarding the licensing of foster parent applications. The Licensing and Recruitment Specialist also assists with foster parent recruitment and retention.

Key Responsibilities Of The Licensing And Recruitment Specialist

• Conduct comprehensive foster care licensing studies and evaluations, including written reports and assessments with recommendations regarding candidate suitability for working with foster children.
• Support foster care recruitment and retention efforts through innovative recruitment strategies, community engagement, partnership development, and participation in outreach events to educate and recruit prospective foster families.
• Assist with ongoing program planning and development.
• Facilitate Nurturing Connections Training for foster parents.
• Coordinate placements for foster children to match their needs to appropriate providers.
• Handle inquiries regarding foster care licensing.
• Maintain contact and provide support to foster parents.
• Exercise judgement to intervene as an advocate for foster parents in emergency and crisis situations.

LOCATION

Kenosha, WI. Some local travel will be required to meet with program participants and complete home evaluations.

SCHEDULE

Full-time 40 hours per week, with a rotating after-hours schedule

SALARY

$22.00 per hour

• Must have reliable transportation on a daily basis, a valid driver's license, and automobile insurance.
