Job summary

The State of Mississippi, within the Department of Child Protection Services, seeks a Social Services Supervisor in the Licensure unit in Rankin County. You will lead licensing, recruitment, and Wendy’s Wonderful Kids teams, ensuring ongoing supervision, staff development, and high-quality service delivery.

You will manage case documentation, community outreach, and CQI processes to meet policy standards, while coordinating with agency management and external partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience leading licensing, recruitment, and training teams is desirable.
• Ability to develop and implement program processes and outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Manage and train the licensing and recruitment teams within the unit.
• Provide ongoing supervision and support to staff; ensure adherence to contractual obligations.
• Oversee intake, evaluation, and collaboration with community groups to promote agency programs.
• Develop and submit performance appraisals and CQI documentation.
• Recruit foster families and coordinate promotion of agency programs.
