StepStone Family & Youth Services is seeking a Foster Care Licensing Specialist to recruit, educate, and support foster families through licensing and home studies. The role emphasizes trauma-informed, family-centered practices and building partnerships to promote placement stability.

The candidate should excel in outreach, licensing processes, and ongoing support for families, ensuring compliance with state requirements while fostering safe, healing environments for youth in care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or related field.
• Minimum of one year of work experience in a Child Placing Agency, the Department of Family and Children Services, or Non-Profit Agency.
• One to two years of Experience in Resource Development/ Foster Parent Recruitment and Retention preferred.
• One year of marketing, fundraising, and event coordination preferred.
• One to five years' experience in full cycle recruiting in a fast paced environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate recruitment activities to attract prospective foster/adoptive parents.
• Develop proactive recruitment plans and maintain a pipeline of candidates for training and certification.
• Respond to foster parent inquiries within 24 hours via phone.
• Assist with licensing compliance and home study documentation.
• Attend community meetings and collaborate with referral sources and providers.
