The Homefinding Recruiter will train and certify families, collaborate with the Homefinding/Intake/Training team, and coordinate with ACS and state regulations to support the matching process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field from an accredited college or university.
• Fluency in Spanish.
• Ability to work as a team-player.
• Skills in identifying and building a network of community relationships.
• Ability to speak in public; to inspire, encourage and motivate others.

Responsibilities

• Identify and recruit foster/adoptive parents for children and youth served by the foster care program.
• Assist with training to certify and approve foster/adoptive parents.
• Attend recruitment events and design strategies to identify prospective families.
• Conduct home visits and assess viability of potential foster homes.
• Coordinate with ACS, NYS and agency regulations during screening and paperwork.
• Facilitate MAPP and LGBTQ trainings and orientation meetings.
• Engage community resources to support recruitment and retention of foster/adoptive homes.
• Ensure timely submission and processing of applications.
