Job summary

StepStone Family & Youth Services in Georgia is seeking a Foster Care Case Manager who will deliver case management services, provide individual and family counseling, and supervise foster families under the Program Manager.

You will develop treatment plans, maintain weekly contact with foster families, children, and bio-families, and help with training, home studies, and progress reports using standardized tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, sociology, psychology, counseling, or related human services field.
• Two years’ experience working with children and families; graduate degree may substitute five years of placing agency experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to work with foster families, children, bio-families, and agencies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver case management services and counseling to foster families.
• Maintain weekly contact with foster families, children, and bio-families.
• Develop individual treatment plans for troubled children and families.
• Assist with training, home studies, and evaluation of foster parents.
• Prepare written treatment plans and progress reports using standardized tools.
• Attend court and treatment planning meetings as required.
